KlenTaq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable recombinant polymerase derived from thermophilic bacteria, with a genetically modified molecular weight of 62 kDa. The N-terminus of this enzyme lacks 278 amino acids, and compared to the wild-type Taq enzyme, the truncated k-enzyme has higher fidelity and thermal stability.

KlenTaq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable recombinant polymerase derived from thermophilic bacteria, with a genetically modified molecular weight of 62 kDa. The N-terminus of this enzyme lacks 278 amino acids, and compared to the wild-type Taq enzyme, the truncated k-enzyme has higher fidelity and thermal stability. The length of the amplified fragment of this enzyme can reach 5 kb (simple template). The extension rate is 0.9-1.2kb/min, and the enzyme has 5’-3' polymerase activity and no 3 '-5' Exonuclease activity. There is almost no activity below 37 ℃, greatly improving the specificity of amplification.


1. Good thermal stability: the half-life at 95 ℃ exceeds 40 minutes

2. The enzyme can add a single deoxyadenosine (A) to the 3’ ends of PCR products which can be directly used for TA cloning
